Desired results of the job:
The label room clerk is responsible for the printing of customer order labels associated with outbound shipments. The label room clerk must be detailedoriented must be able to work flexible hours and understand basic outbound shipping operations.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Operates various and multiple label printing machines for a large warehouse operation.
Organizes and manages time to ensure all the work gets completed in a timely manner.
Ensures labels are accurate with the correct information and quality in order to meet/exceed customer expectations.
Develops and publishes reporting logs using Excel spreadsheets.
Uses ORACLE Warehouse Management system processes as they relate to order processing.
Maintains accurate reports and logs.
Organizes customer orders in accordance with Igloo standard operating procedures.
Maintains quality control records for printed labels. Reports quality issues as needed.
Troubleshoots Root Cause to issues related to the label room.
Works closely with Logistics Coordinators to ensure labels are correct.
Reads and understands vendor compliance guidelines associated with label printing requirements.
Checks labels Picking packing slips to ensure all pertinent information matches prior to issuing documents to the distribution team.
Work closely with the outbound shipping supervisor and manager.
Maintains label ink and other label room related inventory. Submits reorder requests in a timely manner.
Works closely with IT department so that printers are cleaned and calibrated on a regular basis.
Communicates with internal customers on problem orders.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalency.
Experience: Minimum 6 months experience with distribution and logistics.
Working knowledge of outbound shipping and order processing
English language skills: Able to speak read write and comprehend English.
Math skills: Able to add subtract multiply and divide.
Physical Demands: Distribution environment; able to stand sit for 6 10 hours per day.
Must be able to work in an environment that may require walking long distances in a warehouse.
Must be able to lift 40 50 lbs.
Must know how to use basic Microsoft Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual English/Spanish
