Job Description

Rohde & Schwarz USA Inc. is seeking an Account Manager for their Columbia MD location. This role involves overseeing 2 of 4 verticals (Industry Components and Research and Wireless Communications) in the DFW area. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in electronics RF testing sales cycle management and communications technologies to this role. The position offers remote work flexibility but requires 15% travel for domestic and international trips lasting 12 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Account Management: Lead the sales cycle for two verticals Industry Components and Research and Wireless Communications.
  • Sales Cycle: Manage the complete sales cycle from initial customer contact through to purchase order placement.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize advanced knowledge in time and frequency domain electronic testing and RF technology.
  • Equipment Handling: Configure and operate Rohde & Schwarz oscilloscopes spectrum analyzers vector network analyzers and other RF measurement equipment.
  • Customer Relationship: Cultivate longterm customer relationships by understanding their needs and providing appropriate solutions.
  • Travel: Travel up to 15% for domestic and international trips (12 weeks in duration).
  • Collaboration: Work crossfunctionally with the Rohde & Schwarz team to support customer needs and drive business growth.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive postbaccalaureate experience including:
    • Experience in time and frequency domain electronic and RF testing applications.
    • Expertise in testing highspeed analogdigital converters DCDC regulators RF amplifiers and onwafer measurements.
    • Proficiency in configuring and operating R&S family of equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes spectrum analyzers power meters).
    • Solid experience with communication protocols and broadcast standards including WCDMA LTE and 5G.
    • Familiarity with SAP MS Office and sales reporting platforms.
    • Handson experience with frequency domain measurement equipment like signal analyzers and spectrum analyzers.
Desired Skills:
  • Experience in electronics and communications especially radio frequency technologies.
  • Strong background in managing the entire sales process including identifying opportunities customer engagement and closing deals.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • High level of communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction and collaboration with crossfunctional teams.
