Job Description
Senior Electrical Motor Design Engineer
The Role
We are seeking an experienced engineer with a degree in Mechanical Electrical or Systems Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of experience preferably in electric motor design. If you have a strong interest in electric motor design we encourage you to apply.
As a Senior Electrical Motor Design Engineer you will leverage your technical expertise to drive engineering projects support customer needs and enhance our product offerings. You will also manage engineering interns who assist with your duties. This is a fulltime officebased position with standard weekday hours.
Key Responsibilities:

Customer RFQ Support: Review and develop options for customer requests for quotes (RFQs) using proprietary tools to recommend appropriate motors from our extensive portfolio.

Collaboration with Software Team: Work to improve existing calculation tools and develop new ones.

Production Release: Facilitate the transition of specialty motors to production including creating new model and part numbers AutoCAD drawings and informing relevant departments.

Technical Assistance: Provide troubleshooting support for customers experiencing technical issues with our products aiming for optimal performance.

Documentation Management: Maintain uptodate motor prints and performance data ensuring all databases are current.

Quality Assurance: Collaborate with production teams to ensure product quality and compliance addressing any supplierrelated issues as needed.

Market Research and Development: Focus on expanding the pump motor market segment and explore other motor application markets for growth initiatives particularly in AC motors and controllers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Electrical or Systems Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience preferably in motor design.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with electric motors including sizing and design.
- Proficiency in electric motor design analysis and testing.
- Familiarity with CAD software and simulation tools.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to electric motors.
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Relevant certifications in motor design or related areas are a plus.
- Previous experience in a senior engineering role is preferred.
