Currently we are partnered with a preferred client in Quantico VA in search of a highly talented Systems Virtualization Engineer.
Job Summary:
Join our premier federal client as a Systems Virtualization Engineer responsible for planning leading and implementing virtualization solutions. This role involves managing complex system integrations conducting testing programs and providing technical leadership for virtualization infrastructure supporting missioncritical operations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead virtualization projects including complete delineation of products services and equipment installations
- Direct and conduct regular special and integrated system test programs on virtualization equipment
- Prepare and deliver specialized reports and presentations containing actionable information
- Conduct integrated equipment system testing and validation
- Provide onthejob training for customers and junior personnel
- Coordinate with field engineers to optimize customer solutions
- Design and implement scalable virtualization solutions supporting large user bases
- Manage and optimize Citrix infrastructure components for enterprisescale deployments
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in System Administration Information Technology Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with degree OR 10 years of experience without degree
- Active Top Secret clearance (required)
- Willingness to obtain CI Poly
- Experience designing managing and supporting multiple heterogeneous computer networks
- Strong background in production and development environments
Knowledge Skills & Abilities:
- Expertlevel knowledge of Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops
- Proficiency with Citrix ADC (Netscaler)
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Failover Cluster and HyperV Manager
- Expertise in Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM)
- Strong knowledge of hypervisors and virtualization subsystems
- Infrastructure as Code methodologies
- PowerShell scripting for automation
- Advanced troubleshooting capabilities
- Experience with Cloudbased remote access solutions
- Active Directory group management
- Ability to scale server systems for large user bases (up to 50K users)
