Role Overview
The Financial Operations Manager is a key financial leader responsible for overseeing the company s financial health through budgeting cash flow management bookkeeping and investment planning. This role combines strategic financial oversight with handson bookkeeping activities supporting financial accuracy and compliance. The Financial Operations Manager will work closely with leadership and key stakeholders to deliver highlevel financial insights while ensuring smooth daytoday financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
Lead budgeting and financial planning processes monitoring cash flow and driving financial stability.
Ensure accuracy in financial reporting minimizing budget variances and ensuring budget adherence.
Oversee accounts receivable/payable management to optimize cash flow and support revenue growth.
Bookkeeping and Accounting
Perform and supervise traditional bookkeeping activities including payroll general ledger maintenance bank reconciliations and expense tracking.
Manage endofmonth and endofyear closing processes ensuring all financial records are accurate and uptodate.
Strategic Financial Support
Partner with the CFO and leadership team to align financial planning with company growth initiatives.
Analyze and provide insights on strategic investments supporting the company s longterm financial objectives.
Prepare and present periodic financial reports to leadership highlighting progress toward budget and ROI targets.
CrossDepartmental Collaboration
Serve as a financial advisor to department leaders delivering insights to support business decisions.
Collaborate with external financial partners including CPAs and financial software vendors to enhance financial operations and reporting efficiency.
Maintain a strong internal network across departments supporting crossfunctional alignment on key projects.
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management with a strong background in bookkeeping budgeting cash flow management and financial analysis. Preferably CPA.
Proven track record of collaborating effectively with crossfunctional teams and external financial partners.
Expertise in accounting software and strong proficiency with bookkeeping functions including payroll bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate financial data into strategic recommendations.
Experience in a highgrowth dynamic environment is preferred.
