Software Engineer III
(100% Telework/Remote)

- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship or Green Card
- Clearance Requirements: Tier 1 Background Investigation National Agency Check with law and fingerprints (Standard Form 85)
- Type of Employment: 40 hours per week.
- Period of Performance: 16 December 2024 31 May 2025
- Estimate Pay: $55.00/hr to 58.00/hr
Working Hours:
Work will be scheduled normally from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday however there may be times when it is necessary for the employees to work after duty hours or weekends in support of specific tasks. Although the schedule may have to be flexible it will not exceed 40 hours per week or 1008 hours total.
Summary:
Will be part of the Administrative Applications SharePoint team and will be working to develop enhancements and provide support for the Texas HHS Legislative Tracking System (LTS) 2.0 Power Platform application. These positions will perform Software Engineer/Application Developer duties that will involve the following Power Platform areas: Power Apps Canvas and Modeldriven apps Dataverse Power Automate Flows for business process automation and Power BI reports.
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in engineering Occupational Health and Safety Physic or Chemistry.
- Shall have at least 8 or more years of experience relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals independently performs a variety of complicated tasks may lead and direct the work of others a wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Work experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) and/or Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments
- Work experience as a Software Engineer or Application Developer
- Handson experience with Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate technical solutions
- Microsoft Power Platform development experience
- Experience with Agile development processes and sprint planning
- Experience in design and development of Canvas and Modeldriven Power Apps by utilizing Microsoft Dataverse SharePoint or other databases as the backend data storage model
- Experience in design and development of Power BI reports
- Experience developing Power Automate Flows Desktop Flows business process Flows
- Good understanding of Dataverse tables and uses
- Good understanding of the Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) Admin Center

- Good teamwork skills and ability to collaborate with other functional and technical staff on the project
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on crossfunctional teams
Duties/Responsibilities:
Develops software solutions by studying information needs conferring with users and studying systems flow data usage and work processes. Investigates problem areas. Prepares and installs solutions by determining and designing system specifications standards and programming.
