Job Description

Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team as a Die Repair Technician! In this role you will repair rebuild and maintain casting and trim dies to ensure seamless operations. Your expertise in tool and die repair will support our commitment to quality manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair & Maintenance: Transport clean disassemble repair and reassemble casting and trim dies using lift trucks cranes and diecleaning equipment.
  • Technical Work: Build and replace segments cores and parts using blueprints and specialized tools. Polish or grind die cavity surfaces as needed.
  • OnSite Problem Solving: Perform repairs directly on casting and trim dies mounted on machines troubleshoot tooling issues and correct dimensional problems.
  • Welding Expertise: Conduct welding tasks in both the foundry and Die Repair Department.
  • Documentation: Complete die work orders pictorials and records accurately.
  • Training & Collaboration: Train new employees and collaborate effectively with the team.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and orderly work area and equipment.

Qualifications:

MustHave:

  • Associates Degree trade/technical school certification or journeyperson certificate.
  • Ability to perform highly skilled tasks and solve complex problems.
  • Up to 2 years of training or equivalent work experience in die repair.

NicetoHave:

  • Tool & Die Repair Journeyman Papers (Preferred not required).
