Job Description

The Die Repair Technician for the 2nd Shift in Twinsburg OH will be responsible for repairing rebuilding and maintaining casting and trim dies in accordance with original specifications. This role requires operating all machines and equipment associated with the die repair process. The technician will be expected to collaborate effectively with team leaders and supervisors while ensuring quality and efficiency in all tasks performed.

Skills

  • Ability to draw polish or grind die cavity surfaces using required tools or equipment
  • Proficient in building and replacing segments cores details and parts from blueprints
  • Experience performing welding duties in a foundry and die repair department
  • Capability to train new employees effectively

Responsibilities

  • Receive instructions from Team Leader/Supervisor
  • Transport clean disassemble repair and reassemble casting and trim dies
  • Troubleshoot production tooling problems and perform necessary repairs
  • Complete forms die work orders and maintain accurate records
  • Keep work areas neat and orderly
  • Train new employees and assist with their onboarding
  • Perform all other duties incidental to the safe operation of the tool and die repair department

Qualifications

  • Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
  • Ability to perform highly skilled tasks and solve complex problems
  • Tool & Die Repair Journeyman Papers is a plus but not required

Education Requirements

  • Associates Degree trade or technical school or journeyman certificate preferred

Education Requirements Credential Category

  • Technical or Trade Certification

Experience Requirements

  • Up to 2 years of training required; must complete 2 years of onthejob training if minimum experience is not met
  • Relevant experience specific to this position is preferred
