Able to manage guest Payment.
Using the bar opening and closing inventory and check list.
Fully aware by monthly inventory process.
Follow all the Hygiene requirements, expiration date, first in and first out Etc.
1. Preparing and Serving Beverages
- Mixing Drinks: Prepare a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and soft drinks, according to established recipes or customer requests.
- Serving Drinks: Serve drinks to customers at the bar, tables, or through waitstaff, ensuring they are prepared correctly and presented professionally.
- Customizing Orders: Create custom cocktails or drinks based on guest preferences, or recommend drinks based on the customer's tastes.
- Knowledge of Beverages: Stay knowledgeable about different types of alcohol (vodka, rum, whiskey, etc.), cocktail recipes, garnishes, and glassware to ensure the correct preparation and presentation of drinks.
2. Customer Service
- Engaging with Customers: Greet customers warmly, engage in conversation, and offer a friendly, approachable attitude. Make guests feel comfortable and ensure they have an enjoyable experience.
- Recommendations: Provide drink recommendations based on guest preferences, such as pairing drinks with food, or suggesting popular cocktails and specials.
- Handling Special Requests: Take special requests for drinks and accommodate dietary restrictions (e.g., gluten-free, sugar-free) when possible.
- Upselling and Promoting Specials: Upsell premium products, new drinks, or special offers to increase sales, while maintaining a positive relationship with customers.
- Handling Payments: Process transactions efficiently, whether through cash, credit card, or tabs. Ensure accurate billing, including tips and service charges.
Desired candidate profile
- Customer Service Skills: A friendly, approachable attitude is essential for building rapport with customers and providing excellent service.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers, team members, and management. A bartender should be able to handle noisy environments and engage with guests in a lively, professional manner.
- Attention to Detail: Precision is important in mixing drinks and ensuring the right quantities of ingredients. Bartenders must also remember customer preferences and special requests.
- Multitasking: Bartenders often work in a fast-paced environment and need to juggle multiple tasks, such as taking drink orders, preparing beverages, and interacting with guests.
- Physical Stamina: The job can be physically demanding, as bartenders may stand for long periods, move heavy bottles, or carry multiple orders at once.
- Creativity: A flair for crafting new and exciting cocktails, experimenting with flavors, or coming up with drink specials can set a bartender apart.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to resolve customer complaints or handle difficult situations calmly and professionally.
