Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

Candidate must have good mechanical skills to operate and use equipment, such as but not limited to, forklift, tractor, overhead cranes, etc. to do their job.
As an aircraft mechanic candidate will be working on Boeing 777, B787, A380, and A350 aircrafts, do you
Must have hands on experience with engine split, mate, and Power plant build-up on these aircraft.
Candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining the fleet of aircraft to ensure they meet safety and regulatory standards.
Diagnose mechanical or electrical problems.
Repair wings, brakes, electrical systems, and other aircraft components. Replace defective parts, using hand tools or power tools.
Able to use precision measuring tools
Maintain equipment and tools
Working with sealants
Must have knowledge on CDCCL when relevant.
Must have knowledge on EWIS when relevant.
Able to use Airbus AirNav and Boeing Toolbox
Able to properly process removed, uninstalled and rejected parts
Inspection and Maintenance
Conduct Routine Inspections: Perform scheduled inspections as per maintenance manuals, regulatory requirements, and airline or manufacturer specifications. Inspections may include checks on airframes, engines, landing gear, avionics, and hydraulic systems.
Pre-Flight and Post-Flight Inspections: Inspect aircraft before and after flights to ensure that they are in good condition and free from defects that could affect safe operation.
Maintenance Tasks: Carry out preventative maintenance, including lubricating parts, changing filters, replacing worn components, and cleaning aircraft systems.


Desired candidate profile


Must have a certificate/diploma of vocational degree
Must have 5 years or more of civil aircraft maintenance experience
Must have an OJT training certificate from a recognized organization to demonstrate his/her engine work experience on relevant aircraft type
Technical Skills and Knowledge
Aircraft Systems Knowledge: Deep understanding of aircraft systems such as engines, electrical, avionics, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to use diagnostic tools to identify issues.
Proficiency with Hand Tools and Equipment: Skilled in using a variety of tools, including wrenches, power tools, test equipment, and precision instruments.
Familiarity with Blueprints and Manuals: Ability to read and interpret aircraft blueprints, maintenance manuals, and regulatory guidelines.
2. Certifications and Licensing
FAA Certification (for U.S. based mechanics): An Aircraft Mechanic typically holds an Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license, issued by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which qualifies them to work on aircraft engines and airframes.
EASA Certification (for Europe): Equivalent certification in Europe, such as the EASA Part-66 Aircraft Maintenance License.
Additional Aircraft Type Ratings: Specialized training or certification may be required for specific types of aircraft or systems (e.g., specific jet engines or avionics systems).
Safety Certifications: Training in occupational safety, hazardous materials handling, and other aviation safety protocols.
3. Physical and Mental Attributes
Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy and attention to detail when performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs to ensure safety.
Manual Dexterity: Skilled at using hands and tools for detailed and precise work.
Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical skills to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues.
Physical Stamina: Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, sometimes requiring the ability to lift heavy parts, work in confined spaces, or on aircraft suspended in the air.
4. Soft Skills
Communication Skills: Effective communication skills to interact with team members, pilots, and other stakeholders.
Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with other mechanics, engineers, and flight crew to ensure aircraft are ready for flight.
Adaptability: The ability to handle unexpected issues, tight deadlines, and changing work environments.
Customer Focus: Ability to work in environments where ensuring client satisfaction (in the case of commercial aviation) and safety is paramount.
