Job Description
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiology Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. This fulltime position is vital to delivering topnotch imaging services supporting patient diagnosis and treatment. The successful candidate will exhibit excellent technical skills a compassionate approach towards patient interactions and a commitment to adhering to industry safety standards.
Core Responsibilities in Diagnostic Imaging
- Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures including Xrays MRIs and CT scans in accordance with established medical protocols.
- Accurately prepare and position patients to ensure optimal diagnostic imaging results while maintaining their comfort and safety.
- Operate complex radiologic equipment and ensure it is clean and in excellent working condition.
- Assist radiologists by preparing imaging materials and aiding in complex procedures when required.
- Maintain meticulous records of imaging procedures and ensure data accuracy within patient files.
- Adhere to strict safety guidelines to minimize radiation exposure risks for patients oneself and colleagues.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to facilitate comprehensive patient care.
Qualifications for a Radiology Technologist
- A completed degree from an accredited radiologic technologist program.
- Valid certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or a recognized equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in a radiologic technologist role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy pathology and medical terminology associated with radiology.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and medical staff.
- Proficiency in operating radiologic technology and an aptitude for learning new imaging techniques.
- Ability to work independently with efficient time management skills during shifts.
