Job Description
Our client a global fresh produce distributor is looking for a Power BI Developer who will be responsible for designing developing and implementing comprehensive business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. Candidate must have experience delivering reports to business units strong experience with Power Query DAX and SQL as well as Strong ETL experience.
This is a remote position. The selected candidate will be working USA est hours.
Responsibilities include:
- Designing developing and implementing comprehensive business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI. You will work closely with business
- Design and develop endtoend business intelligence solutions using Microsoft Power BI including data modeling data integration and report/dashboard creation
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements translate them into technical specifications and design efficient and visually appealing Power BI reports and dashboards
- Develop complex Power BI data models to enable accurate and efficient data analysis and visualization
- Conduct data profiling and analysis to identify data quality issues inconsistencies and anomalies and work with stakeholders to address them
- Create and maintain data connections and ETL processes to extract transform and load data from various sources into Power BI.
- Optimize performance and usability of Power BI reports and dashboards by tuning queries implementing efficient data models and applying best practices
- Ensure data security and compliance standards are met by implementing appropriate security measures and access controls within Power BI
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate Power BI with other systems and data sources including onpremises and cloudbased platforms
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior Power BI developers assisting them in solving complex problems and improving their skills
- Production Support of reports dashboards and schedules for EMEA and North American user base
- Train and support end users as well as selfservice capabilities to help nontechnical business users build their own analytics and reporting solutions
Requirements
- 5 years experience as an analytics developer specializing in Power BI
- Proficient in utilizing Power Query and DAX
- Experience using Denodo is a plus
- Experience utilizing APIs
- Alytryx experience a plus
- Experience with Cloud based platforms (Preferably Azure) is a plus
- Hands on experience with Power BI onpremises enterprise data gateways
- Experience with other BI tools (Tableau Cognos) is a plus
- Exposure to PowerApps and Power Automate is a plus
- Very strong understanding of relational and dimensional databases and an ability to query databases to troubleshoot issues in reporting
- Clean User Interface / Dashboard design principles
