Responsibilities:
- Identify reliable local suppliers and build strong relationships with them.
- Negotiate contracts terms and pricing with vendors to ensure favorable terms.
- Conduct market research to identify current trends pricing and availability.
- Review purchase requisitions verify specifications and approve orders.
- Track orders monitor delivery timelines and address any delivery issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with the companys procurement policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and prepare regular reports on procurement activities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Purchase Officer or in a similar procurement role preferably within Construction & Building Materials.
- Strong knowledge of local market dynamics and vendor landscape.
