Job Description

Primary SEN Teacher (KS2) SEN School Tottenham

A nurturing SEN school in Tottenham is seeking a dedicated KS2 SEN Teacher to join their compassionate team and provide tailored support for students with special educational needs. In this fulltime role you will play an instrumental role in creating an inclusive engaging learning environment that promotes both academic and personal growth for KS2 students.

Role Highlights

  • Fulltime permanent role in a supportive SEN setting focused on developing confidence skills and independence in KS2 students
  • Plan and deliver individualized lessons that cater to the unique academic social and emotional needs of each student fostering both their engagement and development
  • Collaborate closely with SEN support staff therapists and other specialists to create comprehensive learning plans that address diverse learning challenges
  • Establish a positive structured classroom environment that encourages participation creativity and respect among students helping each child feel valued and motivated to learn

  • Regularly monitor and assess student progress maintaining clear communication with parents SEN staff and external professionals to ensure aligned and effective support

Experience & Qualifications

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in primary teaching particularly within KS2; experience in SEN education is highly advantageous
  • An empathetic patient approach to teaching along with excellent organizational skills enabling you to adapt lessons to suit varied learning styles and developmental needs
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills allowing you to build supportive relationships with students parents and fellow staff members
  • A commitment to inclusive education and a genuine passion for helping each student reach their potential within a positive supportive learning environment
  • A current clear Enhanced DBS check is essential to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students
