A leading independent Catholic girls school in Kensington West London seeks a dynamic and inspirational Head of Physical Education to lead their thriving department. The Role:
- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Physical Education department developing and implementing a comprehensive and innovative curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Inspire and Engage: Lead and inspire a team of dedicated PE teachers fostering a collaborative and supportive working environment.
- Curriculum Development: Oversee the planning and delivery of a dynamic and enriching PE curriculum that encompasses a variety of sports activities and healthrelated topics.
- Promote Excellence: Encourage and support students to participate in a wide range of sports and activities fostering a culture of sportsmanship teamwork and healthy competition.
- Manage Resources: Effectively manage the departments budget and resources ensuring the provision of highquality equipment and facilities.
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified Teacher: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a genuine passion for Physical Education.
- Leadership Experience: Demonstrate successful leadership experience in a PE department or similar setting.
- Subject Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of physical education pedagogy coaching techniques and healthrelated fitness.
- Inspiring Leader: Be a highly motivated and inspiring leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Collaborative Spirit: Work effectively with colleagues students and parents to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
