The Role:
- Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and vision for the Art department developing and implementing a curriculum that inspires creativity critical thinking and a lifelong appreciation for art.
- Teaching Excellence: Lead by example delivering engaging and differentiated Art lessons across Key Stages 3 4 and 5 fostering a love of art and developing students artistic skills and knowledge.
- Team Management: Manage and mentor a team of Art teachers providing support guidance and professional development opportunities.
- Curriculum Development: Oversee the development and implementation of a dynamic and enriching Art curriculum that meets the needs of all learners and prepares students for further study and careers in the arts.
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified Teacher: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a proven track record of successful leadership in Art education.
- Subject Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of art history theory and practice with experience in a range of artistic media and techniques.
- Inspirational Leader: Possess excellent leadership communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire both staff and students.
- Strategic Thinker: Be a strategic thinker with a clear vision for the future of art education able to develop and implement innovative initiatives to enhance the departments success.
