Job Overview
We are seeking a Development Engineer IV Semiconductor Device Continuous Improvement to lead initiatives aimed at enhancing cell efficiency through innovative processes and materials. This role focuses on optimizing thin film deposition processes in a highvolume manufacturing environment refining laboratory methodologies and developing advanced metrologies to characterize thin film and glass properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive continuous improvement efforts to enhance cell efficiency by exploring innovative materials and thinfilm device methodologies.
- Design execute and analyze engineering tests including statistical evaluation and detailed interpretation of results.
- Identify and implement process improvements by leveraging material science expertise and understanding tool capabilities.
- Develop and refine metrologies for characterizing thin film and glass properties.
- Collaborate with crossdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless execution of engineering tests in a production setting.
- Clearly communicate technical findings and progress to stakeholders including senior management and production teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety environmental and housekeeping standards.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Ph.D. in an engineering discipline with 10 years of relevant technical experience.
- Masters Degree in an engineering discipline with 15 years of relevant technical experience.
Required Skills:
- Deep expertise in material science particularly compound semiconductors and thinfilm processes including chemical and physical vapor deposition techniques.
- Comprehensive knowledge of material characterization methods with the ability to integrate diverse data sets.
- Proven ability to lead crossfunctional teams with varied technical backgrounds toward common goals.
- Strong skills in structured problemsolving combining empirical data analysis with scientific modeling.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively convey complex technical concepts across organizational levels.
