Head of Data - short-term contract - Paris

As a Head of Data you will lead the companys data strategy oversee the entire data function and drive the development of datadriven solutions that align with business objectives. You will be responsible for building and managing a highperforming data team while ensuring the efficient execution of data projects across the organization.

We are looking for a person for a shortterm contract (from January to end of June 2025) to replace a temporary leave of absence.

Your responsibilities :

• Develop a clear vision for data utilization that aligns with the business goals and create a roadmap for implementing data initiatives across the organization.
  
• Lead and mentor a diverse team of 20 data analysts. Ensure continuous development and career growth within the team.
  
• Coordinate the planning execution and delivery of data projects ensuring adherence to timelines budgets and quality standards.
  
• Implement and maintain data governance policies focusing on data quality security and compliance (e.g. GDPR industry standards).
  
• Partner with key business functions (e.g. Marketing Finance Product Operations) to identify data needs and deliver actionable insights that enhance decisionmaking.
  
• Oversee the architecture of data platforms (data warehouses data lakes ETL processes) ensure system reliability and recommend upgrades or new technologies as needed.
  
• Lead the creation of dashboards and reports to provide stakeholders with clear actionable insights and facilitate datadriven strategies.
  
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of data initiatives assess their impact on the business and refine the data strategy accordingly.

Your profile :

• At least 6 years of experience in data management roles with proven expertise in team leadership.
• Strong proficiency in data analytics tools (Python SQL) cloud platforms (AWS GCP) and BigQuery.
• Demonstrated capability to lead and inspire a team with strong crossfunctional collaboration skills.
• Excellent ability to communicate complex concepts in a simplified manner and influence executive decisionmaking.
• You speak English fluently and French as a second language is a big plus.
