We are seeking an energetic resultsdriven Telesales Representative to join our team and help drive sales for our company in the Australian market. As a Telesales Representative you will be responsible for making outbound calls generating leads nurturing relationships and converting prospects into customers. The role requires an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills a passion for sales and the ability to build rapport over the phone.
This position is perfect for someone who enjoys a fastpaced environment is comfortable working toward targets and has a keen understanding of customer needs. You will be key to expanding our customer base and contributing directly to the companys growth.
Tasks
Outbound Sales Calls & Lead Generation
- Conduct a high volume of outbound calls to potential customers introducing them to our products and services.
- Qualify leads and assess their interest in purchasing making recommendations based on their needs.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and actively follow up on leads generated through marketing campaigns events or referrals.
- Make effective cold calls to new leads following a structured approach to engage prospects and identify opportunities.
Product Presentation & Sales Pitch
- Effectively present the features and benefits of products/services over the phone aligning them with customer needs and pain points.
- Answer customer questions and provide additional information as needed to guide them toward making a purchasing decision.
- Use sales scripts but personalize your pitch to the customer to make a meaningful connection and drive interest.
Handle Objections & Negotiate
- Address and overcome customer objections confidently and professionally by providing solutions and highlighting key product benefits.
- Use proven objectionhandling techniques to maintain customer interest and push toward closing the sale.
Close Sales
- Achieve or exceed individual sales targets by converting leads into sales.
- Use closing techniques such as trial closing and assumptive close to successfully complete transactions.
- Confirm sales take payment details (if applicable) and ensure all documentation and forms are processed accurately.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular followups aftersales support and personalized communications.
- Maintain detailed records of all interactions sales activities and customer information in the CRM system.
- Provide feedback to the team on customer insights objections and other trends.
Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Track individual performance against set KPIs (e.g. calls made sales conversion rate revenue generated).
- Provide weekly or monthly reports on progress toward sales targets to management.
- Continuously strive to improve performance through selfassessment and feedback.
Collaboration & Teamwork
- Collaborate with the marketing and customer support teams to ensure a seamless sales process.
- Contribute ideas to improve sales strategies lead generation tactics and overall customer experience.
- Participate in team meetings training sessions and sales initiatives.
Requirements
Experience:
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in telesales telemarketing or outbound sales.
- Experience in selling products/services in specific industry e.g. technology finance retail is a plus.
Communication:
- Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to engage inform and persuade over the phone.
- Strong listening skills to understand customer needs and respond appropriately.
- Clear and confident phone manner.
Sales Ability:
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales targets and quotas.
- Proven experience in handling objections and closing sales.
- Strong negotiation skills.
CustomerCentric:
Ability to build rapport and trust with customers quickly.
Focus on delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding customer expectations.
Australian Market Knowledge:
Familiarity with the Australian consumer market and understanding of local cultural nuances.
