Requirements
We are seeking a highly skilled Application Security Engineer with 58 years of experience in security testing application development and security management phases. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of application vulnerabilities code review processes and infrastructure management. This role involves integrating security tools into DevOps working with CI/CD processes and implementing both SAST and DAST solutions to enhance application security across various environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive security assessments testing and vulnerability management across all phases of the application lifecycle.
- Perform handson management and execution of DAST solutions such as Web Inspect and AppScan and SAST solutions like Checkmarx and Fortify.
- Execute code reviews for applications built in .NET Java Swift and ObjectiveC to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Integrate security tools within DevOps pipelines and manage CI/CD toolsets (e.g. TeamCity Bamboo Jenkins Chef Puppet Selenium).
- Leverage cloud environments and deployment solutions including serverless computing to implement and manage security controls.
- Conduct penetration testing for web desktop and mobile applications.
- Manage application containers (e.g. Docker and Kubernetes) to enforce and monitor security.
- Analyze and interpret qualitative and quantitative data from security services tools and monitoring techniques to drive application security insights.
- Apply knowledge of vulnerability scoring standards (e.g. CVSS) to assess and communicate risk impact.
- Automate security processes and conduct complex searches using scripting languages.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Security or a related technical field (preferred).
- 58 years of experience in application security development testing and management.
- Solid understanding of OWASP Top 10 SANS Secure Programming and Security Engineering principles.
- Practical experience with DAST and SAST tools including installation configuration and management.
- Strong analytical and investigative problemsolving skills.
- Handson experience in CI/CD environments and cloud platforms with knowledge of serverless architectures.
- Proficient in at least one CI/CD toolset (e.g. Jenkins TeamCity Bamboo Chef Puppet Selenium).
- Experience with application containers (Docker Kubernetes) and security for mobile desktop and web applications.
- Knowledge of scripting languages for automation.
Preferred:
- Experience in application monitoring and managed services specifically in DevOps threat and vulnerability management and threat modeling.
- Indepth knowledge of security essentials including networking concepts defensive strategies and current security technologies.
- Certifications in relevant areas such as ISC2 CSSLP SANS Secure Coding OSCP Web Application Security or Security Engineering.
Skills:
- Proficiency in security testing tools and methodologies.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent research skills with an ability to identify and categorize security threats.
