Job Description
As a Senior Bookkeeper you ll play a pivotal role in maintaining financial accuracy and driving monthend processes for this fastpaced FMCG business. You ll leverage your expertise in Xero to manage accounts payable and sales ledgers perform crucial reconciliations and support comprehensive monthend reporting. This position offers a unique blend of daytoday bookkeeping and strategic financial support allowing you to make a significant impact on the company s financial health. You ll collaborate with a global team including inhouse supply chain experts providing you with exposure to various aspects of an international FMCG operation.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate accounts payable and sales ledgers using Xero
- Conduct regular financial reconciliations to ensure data integrity
- Create and post manual journals including sales accrual journals at monthend
- Prepare and analyze monthend balance sheets
- Support the monthend closing process dedicating three days per month to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
- Collaborate with the inhouse supply chain team to ensure seamless integration of stock and sales data
- Provide financial insights to support decisionmaking processes
Requirements
- 5 years of bookkeeping experience preferably in the FMCG or retail sector
- Expert knowledge of doubleentry accounting principles and manual journal entries
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software
- Sharp attention to detail with a track record of maintaining high accuracy in financial records
- Strong communication skills in English both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
- Flexibility to align with UK business hours particularly during the 910 AM UK time slot
- Adaptability to unique situations while adhering to established accounting processes
- Passion for the food industry and interest in contributing to a growing FMCG business
5+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably in the FMCG or retail sector Expert knowledge of double-entry accounting principles and manual journal entries Proficiency in Xero accounting software Sharp attention to detail with a track record of maintaining high accuracy in financial records Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment Flexibility to align with UK business hours, particularly during the 9-10 AM UK time slot Adaptability to unique situations while adhering to established accounting processes Passion for the food industry and interest in contributing to a growing FMCG business
