Job Description

A Leading electrical switch gear solutions serving a diverse range of industries like Manufacturing construction energyetc is looking for experienced candidate in Sales / Business Development

The Sales Manager Switchgear will be responsible for driving the sales strategy growth and market penetration of our switchgear products. This role involves managing key accounts developing new business opportunities and ensuring strong relationships with customers across various sectors. The Sales Manager will work closely with the technical marketing and operations teams to ensure customer needs are met and that sales targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Sales Strategy & Business Development:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the switchgear product line to achieve revenue growth and market share targets.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across key industries such as utilities construction manufacturing and infrastructure.
    • Manage a pipeline of potential and existing clients and proactively approach new customers to generate leads and secure contracts.
  2. Client Relationship Management:

    • Build and maintain strong longlasting relationships with key decisionmakers and stakeholders within client organizations.
    • Regularly meet with clients to understand their needs present product solutions and negotiate pricing terms and contracts.
    • Provide exceptional customer service and technical support to ensure ongoing satisfaction and repeat business.
  3. Sales Team Leadership & Coordination:

    • Lead and mentor the sales team setting clear goals KPIs and targets to ensure individual and team success.
    • Provide regular coaching and feedback to sales representatives fostering a highperformance sales culture.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute targeted campaigns and promotional activities.
  4. Product Knowledge & Technical Support:

    • Maintain indepth knowledge of the companys switchgear products including specifications applications and industry trends.
    • Work closely with the engineering and product development teams to ensure product offerings meet customer requirements and industry standards.
    • Provide technical support during sales presentations and assist clients with product selection and custom solutions.
  5. Market Research & Reporting:

    • Conduct market research to identify competitor activities market trends and customer preferences in the switchgear industry.
    • Analyze sales data market conditions and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and improve product offerings.
    • Prepare and present regular sales reports forecasts and business development activities to senior management.
  6. Negotiations & Contracts:

    • Lead negotiations with clients ensuring contracts are aligned with company policies and profitability goals.
    • Work with legal and finance teams to ensure timely and accurate contract execution.
  7. Budgeting & Target Management:

    • Develop annual sales budgets allocate resources and set sales targets for the team.
    • Monitor progress against targets and take corrective actions as necessary to ensure goals are met.


Requirements

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Business Administration or a related field.
    • A Master s degree or relevant certifications in Sales or Business Management is a plus.
  • Experience:

    • At least 5 years of experience in sales within the electrical or switchgear industry with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
    • Experience managing key accounts and developing new business in a technical sales environment.
    • Familiarity with electrical switchgear products including circuit breakers transformers distribution boards and other electrical equipment.
    • Experience in B2B sales particularly in the industrial commercial or infrastructure sectors.
  • Skills:

    • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems switchgear and related products.
    • Excellent sales negotiation and closing skills.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization.
    • Ability to lead and motivate a sales team managing performance and fostering a collaborative environment.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
    • Proficient in CRM software MS Office Suite and other salesrelated tools.
  • Personal Attributes:

    • Goaloriented driven and selfmotivated to meet sales targets.
    • Strong problemsolving abilities with the capacity to develop creative solutions for complex customer requirements.
    • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.
