Service Now Developer

Requirements

We are looking for a skilled ServiceNow Developer with over 4 years of experience in the IT industry specializing in developing configuring and implementing ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing technical solutions based on functional requirements with a demonstrated ability to develop workflows support custom application development and guide junior developers. This role requires advanced ServiceNow configuration skills and familiarity with ServiceNow best practices to ensure system compliance reliability and effective user support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Development:
  

  • Translate functional specifications into robust componentbased technical designs for ServiceNow solutions.
    
  • Design develop and implement new workflows business processes and ServiceNow configurations including Business Rules Client Scripts UI Policies Workflow Editor ACLs and Script Includes.
    
  • Customize ServiceNow ITSM products using JavaScript Jelly MySQL XML HTML5 and CSS.
    

• Service Portal Development:
  

  • Develop and customize ServiceNow Service Portal pages and widgets to meet business requirements and enhance user experience.
    

• System Support and Incident Resolution:
  

  • Assist ServiceNow System Administrators with incident resolution as needed.
    
  • Support junior developers in customizing and developing applications on the ServiceNow platform.
    

• Code Review and Compliance:
  

  • Conduct code walkthroughs and code reviews for junior team members to ensure adherence to coding standards.
    
  • Follow and promote ServiceNow best practices to maintain system compliance and operational integrity.
    

• Testing and Quality Assurance:
  

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test suites to ensure quality and reliability of ServiceNow solutions.
    
  • Identify document and track software defects performing regression testing of resolved defects.
    
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) gathering feedback from ITIL process owners clients and UAT teams.
    

• Maintenance and Administration:
  

  • Manage Update Set creation migration to Test and Production environments and lead ServiceNow platform maintenance and upgrades.
    
  • Coordinate with vendors for ServiceNow product defect resolution as needed.
    

Qualifications:

Required:

• Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related fields; or equivalent work experience.
  

• Experience:
  

  • Minimum of 4 years in the IT industry with 4 years of dedicated ServiceNow development experience.
    
  • Proven expertise in the ServiceNow ITSM suite with experience in Business Rules Client Scripts advanced UI Policies Workflow Editor ACLs Script Includes and UI Scripts.
    
  • Solid understanding of JavaScript/GLIDE and HTML5.
    
  • Strong experience integrating ServiceNow with other IT applications.
    

• Certifications:
  

  • Certified Implementation Specialist
    
  • Certified Application Developer
    

• Skills:
  

  • Proficient in requirements gathering and ServiceNow solution documentation.
    
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to work effectively in a team environment.
    
  • Strong analytical problemsolving and decisionmaking skills.
    
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work effectively in a dynamic fastpaced environment.
    

Preferred:

• Agile/SDLC Knowledge: Familiarity with testing cycles within Agile or Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) frameworks.
  
• ITSM Expertise: Indepth knowledge of the ServiceNow ITSM suite and daytoday administration of the platform.
  
• Personal Skills:
  • Strong organizational skills and selfmotivation to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
    
  • Desire to understand the what why and how behind security incidents and to contribute to security best practices.
