We are looking for QA Engineer. Please see more details below:
The level of English should be at least C1.
Location will be Porto (ideally) Braga Coimbra e Lisbon and the working model will be hybrid. Candidates must be living in Portugal.
Role Description: The QA Engineer will be responsible for designing implementing and maintaining automated test scripts to ensure the quality and performance of software applications. This role involves working closely with development teams to identify and resolve issues as well as ensuring that automated testing processes are integrated into the CI/CD pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts for various applications;
- Collaborate with development and QA teams to identify test requirements and create test plans;
- Execute automated tests and analyze results to identify defects and ensure software quality;
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing;
- Document and report test results defects and issues to relevant stakeholders;
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality;
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in automated testing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field;
- Proven experience as a QA Engineer with a focus on automated testing;
- Strong knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks with preference for Cucumber but its also valid to have experience on others (e.g. Selenium JUnit TestNG);
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Python JavaScript) and programming languages (e.g. Java C#);
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI) and version control systems (e.g. Git);
- Experience with test management tools (e.g. Xray);
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail;
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter LoadRunner);
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g. Docker Kubernetes);
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud);
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and practices;
- Certification in software testing (e.g. ISTQB) is a plus.
