Job Title: Backend Engineer
Location: Remote (CST Time zone)
Salary Range: up to 6600 USD
Work Schedule: Monday Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (CST)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining our backend infrastructure with a focus on scalability performance and security. This role involves working with AWS services and other modern technologies to deliver efficient and reliable backend solutions. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills and experience in backend development within cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop test and maintain backend systems and APIs to support platform functionality.
- Collaborate with frontend developers product managers and other stakeholders to implement and enhance backend services.
- Ensure performance quality and responsiveness of applications.
- Optimize backend architecture and enhance code quality focusing on scalability and stability.
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues in a cloud environment implementing robust solutions for complex problems.
- Use AWS tools and services to design and deploy cloudnative applications.
- Maintain clear and efficient documentation for code and processes.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience writing serverside JavaScript
- Experience investigating and improving JavaScript performance
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent experience
- A selfstarter capable of operating autonomously when required
- Extensive experience with the AWS platform
- Strong knowledge of Node.js APIs and web services
- You practice strong testing methodologies and iterative development processes
- Excellent communication skills a positive attitude and empathy
NicetoHaves:
- Experience with Node web server frameworks (e.g. Hono/Express) OpenSearch Postgres
- Experience with data pipelining and stream processing
- Distributed development (e.g. Lambda) architecture experience
- Indepth experience with React Vitest Remix
- Some experience with any or all of the following: Auth0 Temporal GitHub Actions Pulumi/CDK
