Key Objectives:
To provide guidance and strategies on matters related to process flow assurance and integrity management supporting frontline operations to ensure smooth process flow and protect the integrity of facilities.
To assist the offshore and Bintulu Onshore Receiving Facility (BORF) teams by offering technical expertise in process and flow assurance including support in design and site implementation for troubleshooting and optimisation initiatives for Sarawak assets.
Accountabilities:
- Provide daytoday operational support to existing facilities with a focus on Sarawak offshore and onshore assets as well as assistance to future developments or fields as required.
- Oversee process optimisation across various areas including topside processes from wells to pipelines effluent and greenhouse gas management utility systems and receiving terminals. Monitor and enhance the performance and reliability of process systems.
- Plan schedule and provide guidance for troubleshooting and debottlenecking activities for Sarawaks offshore and onshore assets. Ensure that production targets set by asset management are achieved addressing constraints and operational challenges as they arise. Conduct process calculations and/or simulations using tools like HYSYS or PIPESIM to resolve operational issues.
- Manage minor studies and projects related to process modifications performance monitoring and similar activities providing oversight of external contractors or consultants when necessary.
- Address flow assurance challenges including issues with moisture emulsions sand wax/asphaltene scales and slugging.
- Serve as custodian for processing documentation and drawings such as P&ID operating envelopes and simulation files.
- Provide process engineering expertise for production facilities particularly in brownfield (operating) developments. Act as a Technical Authority actively managing risks with a focus on simplicity and achieving end goals.
- Coordinate facilitate and participate in design reviews risk assessments and HAZOP studies related to design changes for operating facilities. Contribute to Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs) Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFAs) HAZID SIL assessments and other studies to enhance process safety and reliability.
- Offer technical support for alarm management and provide input on any changes to process safeguarding systems and relevant documentation.
- Manage the endtoend Management of Change (MOC) process for process systems in operating assets from initiating or reviewing process engineering elements of the project through to execution completion.
- Stay updated with the latest production technologies for both offshore and onshore operations and when suitable promote the application of new technologies and concepts.
- Support technical safety in addressing internal and external audit findings ensuring that followup actions are completed.
- Review work packs assess boundary isolations and participate in risk assessments and preactivity safety reviews (PASRs) offering insights on process and flow assurance for regular operations turnaround activities and major equipment startups.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Extensive experience (minimum of 10 years) in process and flow assurance for upstream oil and gas processing facilities.
- Proficiency in process engineering calculations and simulation tools particularly HYSYS and PIPESIM; skills in OLGA are beneficial. Strong knowledge of industry and international standards in Process Engineering and Process Safety.
- Familiarity with both oil and gas production and production processes particularly within integrated facilities that include receiving terminals for oil and gas.
- Background in working for or with an operator company.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- Strong interpersonal skills adaptability to meet the varying needs of crossfunctional operations support teams.
- Willingness to travel to onshore and offshore field locations as required.
