We are seeking a skilled and strategic Government Relations Manager to enhance our companys relationship with key government departments and regulatory bodies. The ideal candidate will have connections within the public sector and bring experience from top companies or stateowned enterprises.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Government Engagement: Build and maintain strong communication channels with relevant government departments to support company objectives.
  2. Strategy Development: Develop and draft strategies and communications for key interactions with government officials ensuring alignment with company goals.
  3. Meeting Coordination and Summaries: Prepare summaries and key takeaways from meetings with government stakeholders for internal reporting.
  4. Compliance Support: Assist with compliance management in line with regulatory requirements especially within the financial licensing domain.
  5. Government Collaboration: Identify and pursue opportunities for government cooperation to facilitate business development and create a favorable external environment.
  6. Execution of HQ Initiatives: Implement directives from the headquarters adapting them to meet local regulatory and operational needs.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Bachelors degree or higher with fluency in English (Chinese is a plus).
  2. Experience: Prior experience working with government authorities or departments (e.g. police courts) is preferred especially if connected to resources within these entities.
  3. Policy and Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with government operations policy interpretation and decisionmaking processes.
  4. Skills: Strong interpersonal communication project management and decisionmaking abilities with high emotional intelligence and integrity.
