Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and prepare detailed Civil 3D designs for a variety of civil engineering projects such as transportation land development grading stormwater management and utilities.
Create and modify 3D models of proposed infrastructure including road alignments profiles corridors grading plans and drainage systems.
Generate and maintain digital terrain models (DTMs) and surfaces based on field survey data.
Produce accurate construction drawings design plans and reports using Civil 3D and AutoCAD software.
Prepare crosssections profiles plan views and other necessary drawings for project development and construction.
Coordinate with other team members to ensure proper drafting standards and consistency in design documents.
Utilize Civil 3D s dynamic model features to perform design analyses such as grading analysis cut/fill calculations and stormwater drainage modeling.
Conduct coordination and clash detection in 3D models to ensure compatibility across different project disciplines (e.g. utilities roads and structures).
Required Skills:
Minimum of 34 years of experience using Civil 3D software in a design role within the civil engineering industry.
Experience with other AutoCADbased software such as AutoCAD Map 3D is a plus.
Familiarity with civil engineering principles design standards and construction practices.
