Job Summary and nbsp;
The candidate will be accountable for the organizations finance operations including the production of periodic financial reports maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk. The candidate is also responsible for enhancing the accuracy of the companys reported financial results and ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards. The candidate is also responsible for cash management and risk management. and nbsp;
Key Responsibilities Deliverables / Outcomes and nbsp;
Management and nbsp;
Maintains and enforces a documented system of finance policies and procedures and nbsp;
Manage outsourced functions and nbsp;
Oversee the operations of the accounting department including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the departments goals and objectives and nbsp;
Operations and nbsp;
Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner and nbsp;
Ensure that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable and nbsp;
Ensure that accounts receivables are collected promptly and nbsp;
Process payroll in a timely manner and nbsp;
Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed and nbsp;
Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis and nbsp;
Maintain the chart of accounts and nbsp;
Maintain an orderly accounting filing system and nbsp;
Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions and nbsp;
Reporting and nbsp;
Issue timely and complete financial statements and nbsp;
Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report and nbsp;
Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations and nbsp;
Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics and nbsp;
Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and nbsp;
Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management and nbsp;
Provide for a system of management cost reports and nbsp;
Provide financial analyses as needed for capital investments pricing decisions and contract negotiations and nbsp;
Compliance and nbsp;
Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit and nbsp;
Monitor debt levels and compliance with debt covenants and nbsp;
Comply with local state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings and nbsp; and nbsp;
