About Psychiatreat:

Our mission is to empower individuals to live fulfilling sober lives through evidencebased treatment and personalized care. We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Director of Sober Living to lead our team and uphold our commitment to quality care.

Position Overview:

As the Director of Sober Living you will oversee all aspects of our sober living program ensuring that clients receive structured supportive care on their journey to recovery. This role involves managing daily operations maintaining compliance with health and safety standards developing program initiatives and supporting both clients and staff. We are seeking a visionary leader who is passionate about addiction recovery and driven to make a positive impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all operational aspects of the sober living facility including admissions staffing client services and facility upkeep.

  • Develop and implement policies procedures and programs to support a safe supportive and structured sober living environment.

  • Collaborate with clinicians case managers and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support for clients.

  • Monitor client progress providing guidance and interventions as needed to maintain a safe recoveryfocused environment.

  • Ensure compliance with federal state and local regulations as well as health and safety standards.

  • Train mentor and supervise staff to maintain a high standard of care and professionalism.

  • Facilitate group meetings workshops or events focused on personal growth coping strategies and relapse prevention.

  • Work closely with families external providers and community partners to support client reintegration into society.

  • Report on program outcomes client satisfaction and facility metrics to the leadership team.



Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in psychology social work addiction counseling or a related field; Master s degree preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in addiction treatment sober living or a related field with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

  • Strong understanding of addiction recovery principles and relapse prevention techniques.

  • Proven track record of managing residential programs and experience with crisis intervention.

  • Excellent communication leadership and organizational skills.

  • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance requirements for sober living facilities.

  • Certification in addiction counseling or substance abuse (e.g. CADC ICADC) is a plus.

Experience in multidisciplinary collaboration. Expertise in suicide prevention and personality disorder treatment. Ability to assess and treat co-occurring psychiatric conditions. Familiarity with evidence-based treatment planning. Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards in psychiatry. Competency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working with veterans, first responders, or trauma-affected populations. Previous work in outpatient or community mental health settings. Training in trauma-informed care or crisis intervention.

Education

Medical degree (MD/DO) and board certification in psychiatry. Valid and unrestricted medical license. Proficiency in complex case management and emergency psychiatric care.
