Job Description

My client a top multinational in the FMCG sector is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to manage their field sales operations in a specified geographic region by directing the activities of the thirdparty sales and merchandising provider s resources in order to deliver net sales distribution volume growth forward share and market share targets.

The qualified candidate must have progressive experience as a regional sales manager in the FMCG Sector and a proven track record of meeting sales quotas.

Other key responsibilities include:
  • Create regional sales plans and quotas in alignment with business objectives.
  • Support Store Managers with daytoday store operation.
  • Evaluate store and individual performances.
  • Report on regional sales results for the two.
  • Plan and execute sales regularly reviewing sales data and create reports for senior level officers.
  • Tracking meetings to help provide feedback and sales insights.
  • Forecast quarterly and annual profits.
  • Identify hiring needs select and train new salespeople.
  • Prepare and review the annual budget for the area of responsibility.
  • Analyze regional market trends and discover new opportunities for growth.
  • Address potential problems and suggest prompt solutions.
  • Participate in decisions for expansion or acquisition.
  • Suggest new products and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction.
  • Building relationships with key contacts (e.g. Operations & store managers)
  • Conducting regular business reviews and followup on sales activity new products customer service receivables and claims.
  • Developing and executing customer plans that profitably increase sales volume distribution and market share

Requirements

  • HND/BSc with relevant certification in business management marketing or any related field; Postgraduate qualification is a plus.
  • Eight or more years progressive sales experience; FMCG sales experience is necessary.
  • Experience as a regional sales manager in the FMCG sector is preferred.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales quotas.
  • Market Industry and Competitive Knowledge.
  • Good knowledge of Strategic Sales Planning and Managing the Sales Process.
