This is a remote position.
Job Title: Microsoft 365 Architect
Location: 100% Remote (US)
Contract Duration: 6 Months
Visa Status: Open to USC GC H1B candidates
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Microsoft 365 Architect for a remote sixmonth contract role with a global client. The successful candidate will have over 10 years of architectural experience specifically in designing implementing configuring testing migrating and securing Exchange (onpremises/online) and Exchange Hybrid solutions. This role requires a deep technical understanding of Microsoft 365 and related hybrid designs with a focus on integration data protection and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Exchange Architecture: Design implement and maintain Exchange Hybrid solutions ensuring compatibility across Exchange versions (5.5 2019) and Exchange Online.
- Expertise in Exchange Hybrid Design to maintain hybrid coexistence considering factors like Cloud Access Security Brokers Data Loss Prevention Secure Web Gateways and load balancers.
- Expertise in Exchange Hybrid Design to maintain hybrid coexistence considering factors like Cloud Access Security Brokers Data Loss Prevention Secure Web Gateways and load balancers.
Microsoft 365 Hybrid Design: Develop architectures to support M365 hybrid scenarios especially:
- MultiActive Directory Forest/Exchange Org Topology with Exchange Hybrid CoExistence.
- Compliance with Data Sovereignty (e.g. GDPR) through multiGeo configurations.
- Integration with SharePoint Hybrid and SharePoint Online.
- MultiActive Directory Forest/Exchange Org Topology with Exchange Hybrid CoExistence.
Migration Expertise: Lead migrations from various platforms including:
- Lotus Notes & GroupWise to Microsoft 365.
- InterOrg Exchange migrations GSuite/O365 TenanttoTenant migrations.
- SharePoint onpremises GSuite and other CMS to SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business.
- Lotus Notes & GroupWise to Microsoft 365.
Data Integrity & Compliance: Architect solutions that handle ThirdParty Archive and Journaling Email Data migration (e.g. Enterprise Vault Mimecast) with a focus on legal holds and data immutability.
Mobile and Unified Endpoint Management: Architect integration solutions for Microsoft and nonMicrosoft MDM/MAM and Unified Endpoint Management tools (e.g. Intune Airwatch Workspace One) for Exchange/Office 365.
Office 365 Email Protection: Architect and implement Office 365 email security measures including:
- SPF DKIM and DMARC (with ARC).
- Data Loss Prevention RMS/IRM Azure Information Protection and Office 365 Message Encryption.
- Legal Holds Data Immutability Retention and Deletion policies.
- Advanced Threat Protection and integration with email hygiene products (e.g. ProofPoint Mimecast).
- SPF DKIM and DMARC (with ARC).
Microsoft 365 Security Architecture: Design protections including CAS DLP ATP and AIP to enhance security and compliance within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in architecture within a consulting environment focusing on Exchange (onpremises/online) M365 and Exchange Hybrid solutions.
- Proven expertise in Exchange and M365 hybrid design multiGeo configurations and data sovereignty.
- Handson experience with migrations from legacy systems (e.g. Lotus Notes GroupWise GSuite) to Microsoft 365.
- Strong proficiency in Office 365 email security architecture and data protection (SPF DKIM DMARC DLP ATP AIP).
- Familiarity with mobile device and application management tools such as Intune Airwatch and Workspace One.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical requirements into actionable solutions.
CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Professional experience as a data analyst, developer, or data scientist. Professional experience creating statistical or machine models to execute forecasting based on disparate and unfamiliar datasets. Coding and release experience using bash, Python, and/or other common languages. Building dashboard and reporting suites keeps stakeholders and consumers in mind through the design and iteration phases. Experience working with, analyzing, and testing deeper analytical hypothesis using utility or energy- related data sets Working within a cloud infrastructure, DevOps experience
