Job Description

Job Title: L2 Support Engineer

Location: New York NY (Onsite)

Contract Duration: 12 Months

Job Summary:

A global leader in financial services is seeking a skilled and experienced L2 Support Engineer to join their frontoffice support team. This role involves troubleshooting optimizing and bugfixing existing systems with a focus on maintaining high performance scalability and reliability. The ideal candidate will bring handson experience in application support and development particularly within banking or investment banking environments.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide frontline support troubleshooting and bugfixing to ensure system reliability and high performance.
  • Handle escalation of issues to L3 raising incidents and coordinating communication with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the development team for issue resolution and incident management working closely with them through coderpad and technical interviews.
  • Manage impact analysis escalate critical issues to management and work proactively with development to address recurring issues.
  • Support the transformation of systems through indepth analysis debugging and problemsolving.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 410 years in L2/L3 application support with development experience.
  • Industry Background: Banking or Investment Banking experience is essential.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in an objectoriented programming language (Java C Python etc.).
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills critical thinking and the ability to work independently under pressure.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database management.

L2 Role Criteria:

  • Strong analytical skills with a proactive approach to problemsolving.
  • Ability to quickly adapt and respond to changing situations analyzing debugging and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Clear and effective communication skills with the capability to explain technical concepts to users and stakeholders.
  • Experience managing incident reports problem tickets and collaboration with development teams to mitigate issues and ensure smooth transformations.


CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Professional experience as a data analyst, developer, or data scientist. Professional experience creating statistical or machine models to execute forecasting based on disparate and unfamiliar datasets. Coding and release experience using bash, Python, and/or other common languages. Building dashboard and reporting suites keeps stakeholders and consumers in mind through the design and iteration phases. Experience working with, analyzing, and testing deeper analytical hypothesis using utility or energy- related data sets Working within a cloud infrastructure, DevOps experience
