SSIS Developer

We are seeking a skilled SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) Developer with 24 years of experience to join our dynamic development team. As an SSIS Developer you will be responsible for designing developing and deploying ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes that support data integration and business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts SQL Server technologies and ETL tools specifically SSIS.

Key Responsibilities:

• ETL Development: Design and implement ETL workflows and data integration processes using SSIS to extract data from various sources transform it as needed and load it into target systems (data warehouses databases etc.).
• Data Integration: Integrate data from heterogeneous sources including SQL Server flat files Excel XML and thirdparty APIs.
• Database Development: Write optimized TSQL queries stored procedures and functions to support data transformation and manipulation.
• Performance Tuning: Optimize SSIS packages and SQL queries for performance ensuring efficient data processing even with large datasets.
• Error Handling and Logging: Implement robust error handling logging and notifications for data integration workflows.
• Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data quality and integrity during the ETL process by conducting data validation transformation checks and performing data cleansing tasks.
• Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts data architects and other developers to gather requirements and design ETL solutions.
• Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for ETL processes including design specifications process flows and troubleshooting guides.
• Testing: Perform unit testing integration testing and system testing to validate the accuracy and completeness of the data integration process.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization automation and system enhancements to improve data integration performance.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: 24 years of handson experience in designing developing and deploying SSIS packages.
• Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server (SQL Server 2012 and above).
  • Proficiency in SQL and TSQL (queries stored procedures functions).
  • Handson experience with SSIS including designing debugging and optimizing SSIS packages.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT).
  • Experience working with various data sources like SQL Server flat files Excel XML and others.
• Additional Skills:
  • Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and ability to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Good understanding of data governance and data security practices.

  • Strong communication skills to interact with crossfunctional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex ETL issues and propose solutions.

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Microsoft SQL Server or related technologies is a plus.
• Experience with cloudbased data integration tools (Azure Data Factory AWS Glue) is a plus.
