Reputable Chicagobased firm is hiring a Stormwater Project Engineer for their team in Peoria!
Responsibilities:
- Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of floodplains and floodways (bridge and culvert crossings)
- Analyze flood problem areas to identify problems look for solutions and create a design with recommended alternatives
- Stormwater system analysis and design for municipal/roadway projects (conveyance storage and stormwater quality best management practices)
- Design of soil erosion/sediment control practices
- Serve as the technical lead on projects
- Perform a variety of design tasks (calculations/models report/plan preparation quantity calculations construction details specifications cost estimates and other related tasks)
- Work on multidiscipline projects with other disciplines
- Review engineering work completed by others
- Build/maintain client and vendor relationships
- Mentor/train junior staff
Requirements:
- Bachelor s degree in civil engineering
- 7 years of water resources experience
- Experience with municipal and/or highway drainage design projects
- PE License for Illinois and/or Indiana
- Proficient in Microstation
- Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling (including HECRAS and SWMM)
- Experience in AutoCad preferred
Salary is commensurate with experience.
