Key Responsibilities
As the General Manager you will lead all daily operations to maintain and elevate Virgin Atlantics premium service standards. This includes managing a dedicated team of bartenders cooks supervisors and appearance care staff ensuring a seamless memorable experience for every guest. Youll also oversee financials cost controls and compliance with safety and quality standards embodying the spirit and excellence of the Virgin brand.
What Youll Do:
- Operational Leadership: Direct daily operations to deliver topnotch food and beverage service including full la carte dining in line with Virgin Atlantics high standards.
- Team Management: Motivate coach and mentor frontline staff fostering a culture of service excellence and teamwork.
- Client & Guest Relations: Develop and maintain strong client and guest relationships ensuring alignment with Virgins service ethos.
- Financial & Compliance Oversight: Manage budgets cost controls and inventory ensuring compliance with the company and Virgin Atlantics financial targets safety and quality programs.
- HandsOn Involvement: Engage directly in daily operations to ensure all service details meet Virgin Atlantics luxury brand expectations.
What Were Looking For:
- Leadership Experience: Proven track record in upscale hospitality or highend food and beverage settings (such as premium hotels private clubs or airport lounges).
- Customer Service Excellence: Passionate about providing an elite guest experience with an eye for detail.
- Financial Acumen: Skilled in managing budgets and financial controls to achieve business goals.
- Technical Proficiency: Experienced with automated inventory and management systems including menu graphics programs.
- Flexibility & Adaptability: Able to balance multiple priorities take on additional responsibilities and adjust to the demands of luxury travel.
- ClientFocused Collaboration: Strong ability to build and maintain client trust aligning with the company and Virgin Atlantics brand values.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years of management experience in a similar upscale hospitality or lounge environment.
- Ability to pass a TSA background check and obtain an LAX Airport Badge.
- Willingness to complete immersive training at Virgins headquarters in England and at lounges on the East Coast.
