Job Description
Gear Inc. is looking for an Accountant to join our team with responsibilities and requirements as follows:
Responsibilities:
- Manage full sets of accounts (AR AP GL)
- Handle monthly quarterly and annual closings
- Prepare and analyze financial statements reports and forecasts
- Monitor budget variances and implement corrective actions when necessary
- Reconcile banks interco accounts payable and receivable
- Ensure timely payments and maintenance of fixed assets register
- Compute taxes and prepare tax returns
- Report on the companys financial health and liquidity
- Communicate with accounts team and outsource vendor in other countries
- Comply with financial policies and regulations
- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies procedures and guidelines.
- Any other tasks that may be delegated from time to time
Requirements and skills:
- Preferably ACCA/CIMA/CPA & MIA members with at least 5 years experience
- Good knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
- Handson experience with accounting software Xero is an advantage
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Google Suite
- Good communication skills Fluent in English Malay and Mandarin languages preferred.
- Good to have : regional accounting experience.
- Quick to adapt and flexible open to learning new skills a team player who can also be independent when required
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Able to work remotely
