We are looking for Senior Java Engineer. Please see more details below:
The level of English should be at least C1.
Location will be Porto (ideally) Braga Coimbra e Lisbon and the working model will be hybrid. Candidates must be living in Portugal.
Role Description: As a Senior Java Backend Developer you will be part of an agile Software Development Team responsible for the full lifecycle of an application using cuttingedge technologies to deliver amazing value to our customers. You will scale our platform to meet the demands of worldwide markets from developing flowcharts layouts and documentation to supporting the Product Owner with requirements and the team with solutions. You will also develop unit component and integrated tests with the guidance of the teams QA executing the full software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using Java and related technologies.
- Collaborate with the Product Owner to gather and refine requirements.
- Design and implement wellstructured testable and efficient code to solve business needs.
- Create flowcharts layouts and documentation to support the development process.
- Develop unit component and integrated tests in collaboration with the QA team.
- Deploy applications in a Continuous Integration (CI) platform.
- Test and document implemented solutions to ensure high quality and maintainability.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in backend development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Backend Developer with a focus on Java.
- Strong knowledge of Java and related frameworks (e.g. Spring Hibernate).
- Experience with RESTful API design and implementation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI) and version control systems (e.g. Git).
- Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with database technologies (e.g. SQL NoSQL).
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
- Certification in Java development (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional) is a plus.
