Job Title: Advanced Quality Planner Interior Trim Components
Location: Troy MI
Salary: $100000 Bonus
About the Role:
Join my clients team as an Advanced Quality Planner (AQP) where youll be instrumental in ensuring topquality standards for automotive interior trim components. This role emphasizes driving the quality process within a global environment from the initial project kickoff through successful completion. In this highresponsibility role you will be pivotal in quality management working collaboratively across teams and ensuring adherence to rigorous industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee quality process development for interior trim components across one or multiple projects adhering to the Product Development Process (PEP).
- Ensure a safe environmentally conscious workspace and manage responsibilities in line with environmental and energy standards.
- Maintain compliance with stringent quality standards including IATFbased Management Systems as well as health and safety protocols.
- Manage and monitor SAP master data quality ensuring accurate records and organized electronic files.
- Coordinate with central functions to align quality strategies supporting consistent and effective communication with stakeholders.
- Lead quality development for suppliers and internal processes achieving PPAP completion and Run at Rate approvals.
- Handle customer approvals for decorative surfaces managing aesthetic and functional quality requirements.
- Maintain active involvement in PDCA cycles to meet key project quality milestones aiming for ongoing improvement in project outcomes.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 4 years in automotive quality engineering with specific expertise in interior/exterior trim components.
- Handson experience with quality systems such as IATF 16949; auditing experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in quality tools and techniques relevant to PEP such as PPAP GD&T SPC and process control planning.
- Familiarity with project management tools and intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite.
- Language skills in German or Spanish are an advantage.
