Job Description

Roles and responsibilities


Ensuring all storerooms are secure at all time, and that all received goods are stored in their correct location.
To control stock in designed store room by means of stock rotation, and keeping appropriate par stock levels.
Maintaining storerooms, passageways, floors, walls, office areas and dock areas so that the highest degree of sanitation is kept.
Ensuring that all requisitions are fully completed and checked before being released to the respective departments.
Ensuring all requisition is properly authorized.
Make recommendations to the Cost Controller regarding stock movement and also report on obsolete stocks.
Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all incoming and outgoing inventory.
Ensure stock levels are adequate by monitoring usage, trends, and forecasting future demand.
Oversee the proper storage of goods in the warehouse or storage areas, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Conduct regular stock takes and inventory audits, comparing actual stock to records and investigating discrepancies.
Stock Receiving & Distribution:

Supervise the receipt of goods, verifying the quality, quantity, and specifications of items delivered.
Inspect and document incoming goods for damage or discrepancies, and coordinate with suppliers or vendors for returns or replacements as needed.
Distribute goods to relevant departments in a timely manner, ensuring that all orders are fulfilled according to schedules.
Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate inventory logs, reports, and records for stock movement, receipts, dispatches, and any discrepancies.
Prepare and submit regular reports on inventory levels, stock usage, and order status to management.
Ensure proper documentation of stock transactions, including goods receipts, delivery notes, purchase orders, and invoices.


Desired candidate profile

    • Previous experience in inventory control, warehousing, or stock management, preferably in the hospitality, retail, or manufacturing sectors.
    • Familiarity with inventory management systems and software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a plus.
    • Knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management principles is an advantage.
  • Skills:

    • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Excellent attention to detail, ensuring that stock is accurately recorded, stored, and distributed.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on addressing inventory discrepancies or shortages quickly and efficiently.
    • Basic math and accounting skills, particularly for managing stock levels, order quantities, and tracking budgets.
    • Effective communication skills to collaborate with suppliers, colleagues, and other departments.
    • Ability to use inventory management systems and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
