Job Description

Job Summary

Implementation of the Biodiversity Finance Initiative project (hereafter BIOFIN project) in Georgia was initiated in 2016. The project is executed in close cooperation with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia (MEPA).

The global Biodiversity Finance Initiative (BIOFIN) aims to develop and implement a methodology for quantifying the biodiversity finance gap at national level for improving costeffectiveness through mainstreaming of biodiversity into national development and sectoral planning and for developing comprehensive national finance plans.

In 2022 BIOFIN supported National Forestry Agency to intensify partnership with private sector to enhance sustainable forest management in the country. As a result the brand Forest Friend was created with its brand book and digital channels: website YouTube channel as well as Facebook and Instagram pages. After working on the main document of the brand a communication strategy document and a plan of communication activities were created.

A webbased platform allows interested parties to get engaged in various activities in different forms. The platform is used as a communication tool and provides an opportunity for voluntary targeted donations and organized activities.

As a result of finance solution implementation the webbased platform provided a) Donating options b) Options for organized voluntary activities.

Based on the communication plan and an intense outreach/marketing campaign the platform Forest Friend was introduced and promoted for voluntary donations and engagements.

The project seeks to engage a skilled and knowledgeable Digital Marketing Manager Web and Social Media Content Designer Creator and Adds Manager who will provide technical support fine content and adds plan to BIOFIN Project and NFA with the (a) management of the webpage and social media platform (Facebook) (b) actual content development of marketing and promotional materials (including posts banners texts etc.) (c) digital content advertising through digital platforms.

Responsibilities & Duties

The aim of the current assignment is to: (a) develop a plan for digital activity campaign with NFA (b) develop a content mainly designing posters separately for webpage and social media platforms (c) content placement and digital advertising.

For achieving these goals the following activities are expected to be carried out by the contractor:

a) Digital activity plan Conduct consultation meetings with the relevant stakeholders (BIOFIN team MEPA NFA etc.); Develop and present Digital marketing activity plan for at least 2 upcoming years (); Increase the webpage visitors and Facebook page likes through the advertising campaigns;

b) Implement content marketing Provide the platforms with related content create relevant content and visual material (posters and post) designs for webpage and social media marketing campaign. Use a content calendar to plan and organize content creation and distribution. Materials should be provided according to the guidelines created for the Forest Friend brand.

c) Advertising Webpage content as well as social media platform posts should be advertised through meta and google ads. The goal is to increase project supporters and donations.

d) Crossfunctional Collaboration Work closely with NFA staff public relations Forest Friend platform management and other departments to ensure a unified approach to brand messaging and customer engagement. Provide onthejob trainings to the relevant NFA staff by guiding them through the use and maintenance of the platform and equipping them with the necessary skills tools and knowledge to execute and adapt marketing strategies effectively ensuring they gain handson experience and proficiency and ensure sustainability of the Forest Friend.

Deliverables

1. Digital Marketing Plan document that outlines the tactics and activities Forest Friend initiative should employ to achieve its objectives. The document should include but limited to the following:

Target Audience: Identify and understand the target audience including demographics behaviours and preferences.

Status Analysis: Analyze the digital landscape existing trends and potential opportunities or threats.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Establish measurable metrics to track the success of the digital marketing campaign such as website traffic conversion rates social media engagement and more.

Digital Channels and Platforms: Specify the online channels and platforms to be utilized such as social media search engines email marketing content marketing and others.

Content Strategy: Develop a plan for creating and distributing valuable relevant and consistent content to attract and retain the target audience.

Timeline: Create a timeline that outlines when specific tasks or campaigns will be executed helping to ensure a cohesive and timely implementation.

2. Social Media Content:

At least 4 social media posts per month.

At least 2 webpage publications per month.

3. Report on Content Marketing The document should include but not limited to the following:

Information about the content created and published including webpage publications and social media posts.

Information about the distribution of the content through various channels including blogs social media email newsletters and more.

Information about the monitoring and responding to social media interactions.

Results of the tracking analytics tools regarding the performance of digital marketing efforts.

Identification of the areas of improvement and success.

4. Report on implemented digital marketing activities and support provided to NFA. The document should include but not limited to the following:

The results of monitoring of key metrics and assessment of the effectiveness of the digital marketing activities.

Information about the support provided to the NFA staff and Forest Friend platform management to ensure a unified approach to brand messaging and customer engagement.

Essential Skills

Education:

BSc/BA degree in marketing communications journalism or any related field.


Experience:

A minimum of 7 years of working experience in marketing/web development;

A minimum of 5 years experience in a senior marketing/web development position;

Previous experience in planning and executing of marketing strategies and campaigns;

Previous experience in developing and maintaining websites will be an asset;

Previous experience working with international organizations will be an asset;

Previous experience in using marketing software (e.g. CRM) will be an asset.


Language Requirements:

Proficiency in written and verbal English and Georgian is a must.

The selected contractor will be required to provide proof of insurance coverage as stated in the Statement of Health herewith attached prior to contract signature.
