The Role:
What you ll do
- Data Integration Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of data integration challenges within the insurance industry and the best practices for leveraging data integration data warehousing and data lake technologies.
- Technical Leadership: Serve as a technical resource demonstrating expertise in building and maintaining solutions.
- Business Transformation: Utilize technology solutions to support business transformation optimizing workflows and processes.
- ETL/ELT Best Practices: Implement ETL/ELT best practices develop optimal solutions and identify tools to enhance functionality and performance.
- Data Pipeline Development: Develop and maintain CAESAR (EDW) ETL/ELT processes translating functional requirements into technical specifications.
- Data Extraction and Analysis: Perform ad hoc data analysis using SQL to retrieve data sets identify trends and provide insights.
- Innovation and Process Improvement: Research and recommend new technologies reengineer existing solutions and drive technological or process improvements.
- Metrics and Performance: Analyze current processes to update Key Performance Metrics ensuring performance and accuracy.
- Mentorship and Collaboration: Mentor and support team members on ETL/ELT best practices while working closely with BA Architects and QA Teams to ensure smooth integration and testing.
- Automation and Optimization: Identify automation opportunities for existing and new processes optimizing data management workflows.
- System and Solution Maintenance: Design configure test deploy and maintain ETL jobs for inbound and outbound data processing ensuring scalability for future growth.
Requirements
- 35 years of experience with SSIS SQL Server SQL and relational databases.
- Familiar with SSIS SQL Server and ETL best practices.
- Experience with SSAS & SSRS (2 years preferred).
- Experience with Azure Snowflake and DBT (1 year preferred).
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities with an eye for identifying patterns and optimizing solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience collaborating across teams.
- Selfmotivated team player with a proactive approach and ability to work and mentor junior resources in different regions.
- Familiarity with the property and casualty insurance industry is a plus.
- Comfortable working with complex ETL solutions and large data sets.
- Experience with Jira Confluence and Agile processes.
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to provide occasional offhour support as needed collaborating closely with team members across regions.
