Our client a leader in the life sciences and diagnostics industry is looking for a Field Service Technician based out of Indianapolis IN.
Duration: Long Term Contract(Possibility Of Further Extension)
Pay Rate: $30/hr on W2
The OffSite Implementation Center (OSIC) Field Service Installation Technician is responsible for preparing and delivering equipment for onsite installation at customer sites. This includes ensuring compliance with standard operating procedures inspecting products for quality maintaining work centers and completing all necessary documentation. The role also involves material handling and contributing to the continuous improvement of the quality system. Additionally the technician may train others in the department and must adhere to safety and environmental protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate equipment according to standard operating procedures and site protocols.
- Inspect products for quality ensuring they meet specifications.
- Complete and ensure accuracy of process orders documentation records and metrics.
- Prepare and maintain work centers according to required specifications.
- May be responsible for training other team members in the department.
- Contribute to maintaining and improving the quality system and achieving quality objectives.
- Perform material handling for incoming and outgoing instruments.
Skills:
- Strong technical knowledge of electronics electromechanical systems IT and/or medical technology.
- Effective time management organization and prioritization skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail with the ability to work independently or in teams in a fastpaced environment.
- Valid forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
- Ability to understand and follow safety health and environmental procedures.
Education:
- High school diploma or GED plus 2 years of technical school or equivalent military training or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in repairing or servicing mechanical/system hardware and software networking/wireless networking or related military experience.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
- Experience in a regulated work environment such as medical devices or pharmaceuticals.
