Job Description
Position: Xray Technologist
Location: Eureka CA 95501
Shift: Day 4x10Hour (06:30 17:00)
Job Overview:
The primary role of the Xray Technologist is to provide highquality diagnostic images for physicians and other members of the patient care team helping them diagnose conditions or evaluate treatment effectiveness.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interpret physician or medical professional orders for imaging.
- Explain CT/Xray procedures to patients ensuring they understand the process.
- Properly position patients to obtain the required images.
- Examine images for clarity and usability.
- Update patient medical records with relevant imaging details.
- Clean and maintain CT/Xray equipment.
- Manage inventory of imaging supplies and request restocks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience Required: 1 year of recent experience in an acute hospital setting.
- Certifications Required: BLS ARRT Fluoroscopy CRT.
- Firsttimers Accepted: Yes.
- Weekend Work: Not required.
- OnCall: Yes.
- Floating Between Units: Yes if necessary.
- Time Off Requests: Must be included at submission.
- Guaranteed Hours: The facility may call off once every twoweek pay period.
