Job Description

Mail and Shipping Clerk

Our client in the printing industry is seeking a dedicated and detailoriented professional to support a busy mailroom environment. This onsite role requires strong organizational skills a customerfocused approach and a commitment to quality and efficiency. The work environment is casual and the role requires the candidate to perform a range of tasks related to mail and package processing shipping receiving and fulfillment with an emphasis on accurate recordkeeping and adherence to security protocols.

12month contract with the potential for permanent employment.
Fulltime position: 37.50 hours per week.
Onsite work in a dynamic environment; please note that reliable transportation is required as this location is not on a bus route.

Responsibilities:

Prepare receive sort and process mail packages and supplies including logging and tracking accountable mail and notifying recipients.
Operate color production printers for basic printing tasks.
Utilize automated systems to manage shipping and receiving record incoming/outgoing shipments and perform quality checks on outbound mail.
Arrange and track alternative courier or shipping services to meet specific customer needs.
Perform labeling mail merge electronic mail distribution and fulfillment tasks such as assembly packaging and kitting.
Operate and maintain mail equipment including inserters sorters and finishing tools.
Conduct scheduled mail pickup and delivery runs.
Follow established mailroom security and quality procedures.
Track trace and resolve issues related to mail delivery or receipt.
Monitor and replenish inventory of mailroom supplies.
Assist in identifying and implementing costsaving improvements.

What you will need to succeed:

High School diploma or equivalent.
6 months to 1 year of experience in a professional clientfacing environment.
12 years of experience in a mailroom environment; previous dock and material handling experience preferred.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook Excel).
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision and operate highvolume mail equipment.
Selfmotivated with excellent customer service orientation.
Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
