Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists with the preparation packaging and distribution of prescriptions.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to obtain prescription clarifications.
- Manage and maintain accurate patient records including medication profiles and insurance information.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations policies and procedures.
- Verify patient data for accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
- Support the team in maintaining an organized and efficient work environment.
- Assist with inventory management including the ordering and stocking of supplies.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients and healthcare providers.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; pharmacy technician certification is preferred.
- Prior experience as a pharmacy technician preferably in a specialty or highvolume pharmacy setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical and pharmacy terminology.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced collaborative environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Commitment to patient confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations.
