Job Description
Description of Work Required:
The objective of this request is for our client to provide their client with a Technology Architect resource.
Responsibilities:
The Technology Architect will have the following responsibilities which are not limited to:
- Export architecture artefact models to the Visual Paradigm floating server license repository
- Document the Terms of Reference (TOR) for new entity systems
- Develop document and hand over the established Technology Architecture Principles
- Define and maintain architectural standards for the development deployment and management of applications information communication and technology infrastructure
- Ensure that solution and systems development adhere to our clients ICT governance architecture standards
- Develop and document technical designs for integrating and implementing new applications and systems within our client
- Establish and enhance the Technology Architecture function within our client and formalize the Enterprise Architecture Office
EA Structures:
- Document and map strategy and vision
- Establish governance and compliance structures
- Set up forums (both EA and domainspecific such as Technology Forum)
- Create charters and manage compliance
- Formalize the Enterprise Architecture Board within ICT
- Align our clients Enterprise Architecture function within ICT to the Government Wide Enterprise Architecture (GWEA) Framework which is the standard in government
Development of Technical Artifacts:
- Produce Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) Detailed Technical Design Security Architecture Plan Services Description Document etc.
- Define principles guidelines standards and solution patterns to ensure alignment with our clients future architecture vision
- Establish governance frameworks to guide and oversee technology consumption data management and adoption activities
- Define develop and document practice artefacts and templates
- Create blueprints for building an integrated framework of easily accessible secure data aligned with business strategy
- Test and maintain the database
- Consider all data sources related to business operations and outline a design for integration centralization and maintenance of data
- Mature domain architectures
Requirements
- Bachelors degree (NQF7) or advanced qualifications in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field
- Business/Systems Analysis Certificates or TOGAF certification
- Over 5 years of enterprise architecture experience
