About Company: Our client is a government parastatal located in Abuja.
Job Objective: The Financial Director shall plan direct and coordinate accounting
investing securities return on investment and other financial activities for the Company.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and monitor the budget for the Company
Track and monitor expenses during the planning and execution phases of the Company capital projects
Liaise with relevant stakeholders to understand financial challenges and propose possible solutions
Develop financial model for capital recovery
Contribute to strategic execution of the Company s capital projects
Oversee the flow of cash or financial instruments
Evaluate data pertaining to costs to plan budgets
Prepare financial or regulatory reports required by laws regulations or boards of directors
Prepare operational or risk reports for management analysis.
1. Qualifications: Bachelor s degree in a relevant field.
2. Experience:
Professional experience in the finance or accounting field preferably within the public sector.
Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices the financial markets banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
Proven experience in budgeting and financial planning.
Proven experience in corporate finance
3. Skills:
Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to convey complex issues in a simple and compelling manner.
Ability to identify and assess risks that could impact the companys ability to meet its financial goals
Proficiency in popular accounting software
4. Personal Attributes:
Strong initiative creativity and a solutionsoriented mindset.
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage priorities effectively.
Strong attention to detail and an ability to maintain high standards of quality.
