Role Description
We are seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to join our team and drive sales by combining technical expertise with sales strategies. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of our products and services as well as the ability to explain technical features to clients in a way that highlights their value and solves customer challenges. As a key member of our sales team you will work closely with customers product development and support teams to ensure alignment and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of our products and services to effectively communicate technical details and benefits to customers.
- Work with customers to understand their technical requirements and offer solutions that meet their needs.
- Conduct product demonstrations presentations and technical discussions with prospective clients.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to create customized solutions proposals and technical documentation.
- Address client inquiries and resolve technical issues with presales and postsales support as needed.
- Identify and qualify potential sales opportunities providing guidance on the best use of company products and services.
- Participate in the development of technical sales strategies including pricing positioning and product enhancements.
- Stay uptodate on industry trends competitive landscape and technical advancements relevant to our product line.
Requirements
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering Computer Science Business or related field.
- 3 years in a technical role with at least 1 year in a sales or customerfacing role within a techrelated field.
- Sales Growth: Identify and pursue new business opportunities leveraging technical knowledge to develop and deliver effective sales presentations.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends competitor offerings and emerging technologies to better position our products and services.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineering product development and marketing teams to ensure alignment and support customer requirements effectively.
- Strong knowledge of relevant technologies or industry e.g. software solutions cloud computing telecommunications.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex technical information to a nontechnical audience.
- Proven problemsolving skills with the ability to handle objections and address customer pain points.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce) and MS Office Suite.
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Technology (B.Tech) .
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in product demonstrations or customer training.
- Familiarity with competitor products and industry standards.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced targetdriven environment.
3+ years of experience in resource management, project management, or a related role in IT. Familiarity with resource planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar). Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple resource needs in a dynamic environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments. Analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions regarding resource allocation and utilization.
Education
Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
