Job Description
Our Stables KGB Attendants are a key component to the colleague experience at Chateau Lake Louise offering a friendly face and warm food at the end of a working day. Stables KGB operates 365 days a year primarily servicing the staff of Chateau Lake Louise.
What you will be doing:
Reporting to the Outlet Manager responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform kitchen duties such as peeling and cutting vegetables preparing pizza dough working the line and cooking food orders
- Adhere to standardized recipes and specifications in order to maintain consistency and quality
- Maintain clean and orderly work stations
- Ensure opening and closing procedures are conducted according to Fairmont standards
- Monitor and minimize overproduction and food waste
- Operate kitchen equipment adhering to safety procedures at all times
- Ensure that food production handling and storage are in accordance with food safety guidelines
- Report any equipment maintenance concerns or food quality issues to the Outlet Manager
- Maintain an accurate cash float
- Take food orders and serve guest in store and by phone
- Greet all customers in polite and friendly manner
- Respond to customer inquiries/concerns in an effective manner and escalate issues to the Outlet Manager as required
- Adhere to all relevant hotel environmental policies and initiatives
- Assist with food deliveries as required by driving and distribute orders to customers
- Assist in other areas of the Food and Beverage division as required
Qualifications :
Your experience and skills include:
- Minimum 1 year food preparation/culinary experience required
- Working knowledge of commonly used industrial kitchen equipment
- Must have a valid Alberta Class 5 drivers licence (or equivalent) and must obtain a current drivers abstract free of any serious demerit points
- Experience in cash handling and use of a POS (eg. Micros) an asset
- Ability to consistently walk and stand for long periods
You may be required to work on holidays weekends overnights and other nonday shifts. Submission of your application to Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise indicates that you are able to meet these requirements as needed.
